As an Account Manager, you will be tasked with representing a portfolio of clients within the trade in this B2B role. The trade being tour operators, online travel agents, airlines and leisure retail travel agents.
The purpose of this Account Manager job in travel is to maximise the exposure of your clients in the UK travel industry. You will be representing mainly hotels and occasionally destinations to trade partners to increase awareness of their brands or travel hot spot. You might be training travel agents or call centre staff in the UK one week then hosting Fam trips to your clients hotel or destination the next, and in between all that running incentives and joint marketing campaigns. You will be the point of contact in the UK for questions on product and being the brand ambassador at trade events and functions.
This is a varied role that would suit a field sales manager or account manager looking to work less from a car and more from a desk, but doing all the fun bits in-between. You will need to have excellent relationship skills, good knowledge of the trade (B2B), confident in public speaking and experience of training large groups.
