As a Key Account Manager you will be working closely with the travel agency network in the South, being the brand ambassador and generating maximum sales through your designated region. Your day will consist of maximising your time with visiting travel agency accounts, bring staff up to speed on product and offering training to ensure that the business is front of mind for the next escorted touring enquiry. In addition to this you will working with key accounts on commercial negotiations, override and incentives plans, therefore a commercial head is essential for this travel job.
As well as managing a portfolio of key accounts you will also look at new avenue and channels to which you can generate more business through the B2B arena.
Competitor analysis and feedback is equally as important to the business as managing their key accounts, being a Key Account Manager you are the eyes and ears of the industry therefore market intelligence that is gathered through various visits, or conversations will be fed back to business in a constructive and accurate manner.
You must have a driving license and have the ability to work from home, this is a field based role where you may only be in the head office once or twice a month. You may currently be working a field sales job or account management job for a tour operator, airline, bed bank or online travel agency.
